Part-Time Chief of Staff

A Proposal, Not a Pitch

You didn't get to be CEO by luck.

You got there on hard work. But hours in a day are a practical limit to how much you can accomplish.

A strong Chief of Staff can multiply your effectiveness.

Most CEOs hear "Chief of Staff" and think: the person who multiplies my impact so I can stay focused on what only I can do. That's correct. My mission is "whatever it takes to free up your time so you can do what only you can do."

How We Will Work Together

My first assignment
My first assignment is figuring out whether I can actually help you, or not.
My fee is a six-figure retainer, and I'd only recommend you work with me if I save you substantially more than I cost you, or I free up enough of your time that you close deals worth substantially more than my fee. If we can't make that case, it’s over.

KILL

If something's quietly burning cash and going nowhere, I'll kill it.

MOVE

If there's a project that actually pays for itself, I won't wait for buy-in before I move, I'll jump on it.

Most companies have plenty of both: bleeding money here while good ideas are dying over there.

You may not need me if

  • Your time is under control and you don't have to steal extra hours from sleep or family.
  • Your Inbox is managed so most messages never reach you.
  • Meetings are few and far between.
  • Meetings that are necessary have a clear agenda and actionable outcomes.
  • You don't have a long list of things you'll get to (eventually).

Those companies don't need me. However, if these made you think, "hmmmm", then keep going.

Ask yourself a few more

  • Do you have projects you know need to happen but haven't started yet?
  • Does your schedule feel like it owns you, instead of the other way around?
  • Is email a burden that eats hours you don't have?
  • Are you stuck in meeting hell, too many, too long, too few that actually matter?
  • Would you rather spend that time closing the big deals that actually generate revenue?

Let's Look at the Numbers

The audit has eight questions and takes about ten minutes. It is designed to see if you could use my help (or not). It is not a sales pitch, it's just the two of us looking at whether the math actually works.
