To Add a New ODBC Data Source
The Sentinel moves data from sources across of the entire enterprise, not just one database. Some of the over 30 supported databases: Oracle, AS/400, DEC Rdb, Sybase, DB2, Access, dBase, Paradox, Informix, SQL server, Netware SQL, Ingres.
Note: Many of these drivers are available from your internal IS department. If you do not find the needed driver listed, contact IS first.
Switch to the program manager, and find your ODBC administrator icon, which brings up the ODBC administrator program. Select this from Program Manager...
... which loads this ODBC administrator program.
Adding a Data Source
You must select the Add choice to Add unlisted drivers to your Data Sources (Driver) list.
Enter a Data Source Name
Enter the Data Source Name and Description (optional), and choose Select to find the Microsoft Access table. (Our default installation directory is c:\sentinel\customer.mdb).
