Chapter 2 - Installing Sentinel

Sentinel will display a dialog box asking you to confirm the directory placement of the program and will default to C:\Sentinel. Leave this as it is or change it to a different drive and/or directory if desired.

Sentinel will display a message that it is installing the software modules and then alert you when the installation is successful.

The following components are installed into the C:\Sentinel Directory. Take a moment to examine the directory to ensure that all of the files were installed correctly.

A Windows Program Group titled MayFlower Sentinel.

A Windows Program Item titled MayFlower Sentinel







The following Notes databases are added to your install directory:

Sentinel Tasks: ( Tasks.nsf ) Tasks for the Integrator to run, cited in the examples in this document
Field Mapping Database: ( FieldMap.nsf ) Used for field mapping
Employees: ( Employee.nsf ): A Sentinel Destination Example
Customer Tracking: ( Customer.nsf ) A MayFlower Sentinel Destination Database Example
Word Processing Import (WordProc.nsf): A Sentinel Destination Example
Infoman to Notes Example: ( HelpDesk.nsf ): A Sentinel Destination Example
Archive of Help Desk: (HDArchiv.nsf): A Sentinel Destination Example
