I just signed up for this beta. The premise of the browser is that is integrates with your social network while you browse.

This just makes sense to me. I had to use Facebook to request the beta, so they are starting right away integrating with known social network sites.

The browser is built on the Chromium platform, and is backed by Marc Andressen, who, at Netscape, was one of the pioneers in browsing the web.

Integrating Twitter, blogs, Facebook via built-in share buttons means you don't have to authorize all different sites to have access to your accounts, just RockMelt (assuming they are well behaved).

I can't wait to give this a whirl...
