One of the things I do when I buy anything is to search for reviews of the product or service before I buy. I weigh those reviews into the overall purchase decision process.In the Lotus Notes world, product reviews are nearly impossible to find, so I decided to make it a lot easier, adding a button to "create a review" of any product on the NotesAppStore.com website.
These reviews will follow guidelines, based on a "verified identity". We are starting with Facebook and then adding Twitter, LinkedIn and OpenId to enable people to post their reviews and identify themselves. Anonymous reviews have very little value to the community.

We want Lotus Notes App customers to get the information they need to make smart buying choices, and we'd love to have your help doing that. As a NotesAppStore visitor, you can submit written reviews for items listed on NotesAppStore.com. We encourage you to share your opinions, both favorable and unfavorable.
Who can create customer reviews?
Anyone who owns an item listed in the NotesAppStore.com.
Tips on writing a great review
• Include the "why": The best reviews include not only whether you liked or disliked a product, but also why. Feel free to talk about related products and how this item compares to them.
• Be specific: Your review should focus on specific features of the product and your experience with it.
• Not too short, not too long: Written reviews must be at least 20 words and are limited to 5,000 words. The ideal length is 75 to 500 words.
• Be sincere: We welcome your honest opinion about the product--positive or negative. We do not remove reviews because they are critical. We believe all helpful information can inform our customers’ buying decisions.
• Full disclosure: If you received a free product in exchange for your review, please clearly and conspicuously disclose that that you received the product free of charge.
I will be moderating these reviews and will remove any that do not conform to our review guidelines.
