We have noticed over this year that the virus attacks tend to spike in predictable waves. Generally, they now come every 10-14 days and last 3-5 days, leading us to speculate that the bad guys are using Agile programming techniques for new viruses (who would have thought)!

A few days ago, we detected over 520,000 new virus variants in a single day! Because we are watching email patterns worldwide, we detect most new viruses outbreaks solely due to their email distribution patterns, and often before they have been given an "official" name.
